Music Video

Week 14

My poster has been completed and im glad with my final version of it. This is because it helps link them all together. Plus I think that it really helps advertising the band and the music video. I am glad with the final product becasue I liked the look of the front cover on my digi-pack and it looks better when its just that by itslef.

Week 13

I have finished my digi-pack and have moved onto the poster. I am happy with my final product of the digi-pack, i feel it helps link the band and the music video. I think that it could have been improved slightly, but im still happy with my final prouct.

Week 12

We have finished editing and have uploaded our music video to youtube. We are now working on digi-packs and posters to help complete our coursework. I have almost finished my digi-pack, there a few panels that need to have adjustments. I have not found any ideas as a poster, but i know that it needs to link to my digi-pack and music video.

The reason I chose to make the panel like this was because again the colors of the elements again link to the music video. Also the images look like the band are having fun. This shows our target audience that they arent as strict as other bands. This making them more likable.

This is effective as it shows the link with my music video. This is the use of the special powers, thats why i have used the colors red, blue and green. These representing the fire, earth and water. Like the elements of the earth. I think that using the black background makes the image stamd out more. Also the image itself is effective as it stands and I think that it will go well with my target audience. 

With this panel, I wanted to use this image as the band seemed to look relaxed but at the same time have a cool feel about them. This is effective as it helps again with getting the target audience more familiar with the band. 

What i decided to do for this panel, was to make everything as clear as possible. This being with the band name and members. I think ive achieved this by using the large writing and the plain blue color as a background. 

For my poster, i decided to use the front cover of my digipack. This is effective as it helps link and relate to my digi-pack and music video itself. What works well, is that like the digi-pack, it stands out well. It also helps with clear promotion of the band members as well. 

Ive added to billiing block to the back of the front cover to make it more noticeable and consistant. With help, I was able to come up with a better front cover for my digi-pack. This looks better as it stands out more, this making the name and band members stand out more for our target audiences. The blue colour in the background also adds to help it stand out more. 

For this edit, ive decided to add the copyright code to the disc. This works well as it fills up the space left on the disc. What also works well, is the band name on the disc as well. Its makes the disc look complete. I was still undecided on what to do with the front cover, I still think that something needs to change.

For this part of my digi-pack process, you can see that i have done more work on the CD section. I've reduced the size of the colored in band members so that they fit into the CD shape. This is the image that will go on the disc. I've also made the edges grey to make the inner circle and the colors stand out. This is effective, as the bright colors are able to attract attention to the target audience. This is something that i need to think about for my front cover. But as you can see, ive added the final member to the front cover.

For this screenshot, you can see my idea for the CD part of the digi-pack. I've tried to use the bright colors of the elements of the Earth. Im not sure of this idea yet, If i can make it look better, i will decide to keep it. Nothing else has changed yet. 

Here, you are able to see that i have added another member to the main front cover. This is already an improvement as its already starting to fill up and look more like a boy band digi-pack. I've also decided on an idea for my CD as well. Again i've taken an image from the band photo shoot and placed the colors over each band member and the power they represent. by putting this image on a black background, it makes it stand out and look better. Its now starting to come together and looks more like a relevant digi-pack to my music video. 

So far, this is what my album cover looks like. I've tried to incorporate images from my band photo shoot to help link my music video to my digi-pack. Ive looked at different effects, as seen in the right corner, to see of i can make my digi-pack more relevant to my chosen target audience. As we are looking at the early teen girl age, light colors are used a lot. Im still thinking of what i can do with the other two panels.

Here you can see that i have changed the colors of the images in the top right panel. I have used the colors of the powers that we use in our music video to help link my digi-pack and the video together. You can see that I have decided on an idea for the front cover. This is to have each of the band members sitting down on the band title. This is effective as it helps show the band name and band itself clearly.

Week 11 - We have almost finished filming for the music video and now have almost completely finished the editing, we just need to film us dancing but with close ups because our video consists of too many mid and long shots which we will be filming tuesday 13th december.

Week 10 - This week we are editing the rest of the footage that we filmed last week. We are also filming the beginnig scene and hope that once the filming is done we should be close to finishing the editing for the video.

Journal week 8-9

Week 8 - This week we are focusing on getting the filming done as soon as possible so we can start editing the final video piece. We are coming up with a filming scheduel to help keep filming time efficient.

Week 9- This week, filming was a success and most of the footage was uploaded for it to be edited on final cut.

Journal week 7

Week 7 - For this week, due to a group member leaving, we were able to come up with a new story but that is just as effective. We still managed keep the elements of a power in the music video; water, fire and earth.

Week 6 - This week was mainly about us creating our digipacks for our band. Our group has to come up with different ideas for each of the digipacks.

Journal Week 5

Week 5 - For this week we have finished with the storyboards and are now taking photos to help put together an animatic for our music video. We have also started to get RECCE photos of the places where we are going to film.

Journal- Week 4

Week 4 - This week has been starting the storyboards, the ideas we have come up with and how we will apply them to the story board and then our video, how we could use darwins theory, to try and use a wide range of shots and angles in the video.

Week 3 - For the third week we created a questionnaire and we also came up with an audience profile for our video that helps show the main target audiences for our music video.

Week 2- This week we chose our music brief, which was to do a music video for a boy band group. The song we chose to do a music video for was Its gonna be me by Nsync. What we will do now is watch other boy band videos, to help get a sense of the typical codes and convention of boy band video. We will not watch the video to its gonna be me, to insure we do not copy anything making it similar.
